About
Robert C. Dielmann (deceased)
Robert, known as Bob, was born in 1935 in Creve Coeur, Missouri to a prominent St. Louis family. He grew to appreciate the arts through his grandfather who took him to the St. Louis Art Museum when he was a child and encouraged his pursuit of painting. In high school, Bob excelled at art and discovered it to be his life-long passion. Bob refined his artistic skills by working with the renowned artist Siegfried Reinhardt and by attending classes at Washington University School of Fine Arts.
In his twenties, Bob moved to Chicago where he became an art restorer for the Art Institute of Chicago. During these years he kept a studio where he worked both on painting and restoration. During his time in Chicago, Bob sold paintings to Vincent Price, Hugh Hefner and many private collections.

About
In the 1970’s, Bob returned to St. Louis and began his career at Famous Barr as a commercial artist.
Bob also worked as an illustrator for The St. Louis Globe Democrat, Stix Baer and Fuller Department Store, and the Sears Catalog.
Bob loved St. Louis and spent much of his art career painting street scenes and portraits of the people he met.
In retirement, Bob spent most of his days tending to his garden, as well as, restoring and designing his historic, Victorian home, The Dielmann-Kaiser House in South St. Louis. He also loved his cats. Bob passed away in 2023.
